What Tese3 is
Tese3 is an educational website about the financial market: the Playbook, the games, the weekly notes, the Markets page and the simulator.
Nothing here is an investment recommendation, an offer, advice or securities analysis. We do not promise returns, and past results do not guarantee future results. The decision to invest is always yours.
The simulator uses fictional money and historical prices. The charts on Markets come from TradingView, delayed for stocks.
The rules for using the site are in the Terms of use.
Who runs the site
The content is written and reviewed by Sam.
Responsible for the site and for personal data (controller under Brazil's LGPD): Sam.
What data we keep and why
You do not need to give us anything to read the Playbook, play the games or use the simulator. We only keep personal data that you send yourself:
- Account (optional): email, nickname and country. They are used to send the sign-in code, show your nickname on the ranking if you want, and pick the language of the emails.
- Challenge reminder and news by email: only if you tick them. We record when you accepted or withdrew each option.
- Tese3+ waitlist: email, WhatsApp and the 4 answers on the form. They are used to let you know when the group opens and to understand who is joining.
- My profile (optional): a photo or avatar, which shows with your nickname in the ranking, and a phone number, which only the team sees, to reply to your feedback.
- Feedback: the message, the page you were on, your name, if you write it, and your email, so the team can reply. If you are signed in, we use your account email.
- Ranking: a random code from your browser, your points and your nickname. Without an account, the nickname is sent as "Anonymous" and you do not appear on the public ranking.
- Account progress: if you're signed in, we keep the Playbook chapters you've read, the last lesson you opened and your quiz progress, so you can pick up on any device.
- Simulator: it requires an account. We keep which room and session you joined, your score, which other players in that session see next to your nickname (or as Player, if you hide your name), your play-money balance and the leaderboard points the rooms gave you.
- Quiz: we only count how many times each answer was chosen, without knowing who answered.
- Emails we send: we keep a copy, with recipient, subject and text.
If our server is down, the waitlist and the feedback are saved only in your browser and do not reach us.
How long: your account stays until you ask us to delete it. The waitlist entry stays until you ask to leave. Feedback and copies of emails stay until the team deletes them or you ask us to. We do not sell or rent your data.
Cookies and data in your browser
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not count visits. There are only two cookies:
lastro_sid: keeps you signed in after you sign in with your email. It is only created when you sign in and lasts until you tap "Sign out".
lastro_admin: session for the team panel. It lasts 8 hours.
Both hold only a random code and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
Everything else stays in your browser's storage (localStorage), only on your device: theme, language, Playbook progress, points, game and simulator practice results, and a copy of what to show from your account. Without an account, clearing the site's data in your browser resets all of it; with an account, your progress comes back when you sign in again.
Services from other companies
- Vercel: hosts the site and receives the IP address and technical data of each visit, like any hosting service.
- TradingView: shows the charts on Markets. When a chart loads, TradingView sees your IP address and may use its own cookies, under its own rules.
- Railway, Supabase and Resend: run our server, store the database and send the emails.
- YouTube and WhatsApp: they only appear as links. When you tap one, you leave the site.
The database is in Brazil (Supabase, in São Paulo). The site server (Railway), the hosting (Vercel) and the email delivery (Resend) may process data in the United States and other countries.
Your rights
Under the LGPD (Brazil's data protection law), you can ask which data we hold about you, correct it, delete it and withdraw a consent.
- Nickname, country, challenge reminder and news by email: you change them in your account, under the Sign in button.
- Photo, avatar and phone: you change or delete them in My profile.
- The challenge email has an "I don't want these emails anymore" link.
- Deleting your account: ask through the contact below. We delete the account and everything linked to it: sessions, sign-in codes, photo, points, progress, room scores, challenges and sent emails.
- Leaving the waitlist or deleting a feedback message: ask through the contact below.
